in SCROOGE TELLS ALL: A One-Man Christmas Carol
Synopsis
Dickens’ classic holiday tale “A Christmas Carol” has been done thousands of times and dozens of ways, but never before like this. RSC veteran actor and playwright John Kane delivers a virtuoso performance as Ebenezer Scrooge AND the rest of the entire cast, as mimicked by Scrooge, who tells the entire story on the eve of the Christmas following his memorable redemption. With a complete set, costumes and plenty of sound and light cues, Kane’s adaptation (as directed by co-adapter Phil Arnold) is a remarkable achievement in theatrics and stagecraft. According to producer Joseph Ajlouny, ”Scrooge Tells All is a masterfully conceived and executed stage show which once and for all settles the question whether one actor can do the job of six or twelve. John Kane proves it with every performance.”
